About
20 years ago, I started out as a UX Designer and Software Engineer hybrid, finding UX and development solutions at Apple. I worked in IA, UX, and Visual Design, wearing as many UX hats as the companies needed. I facilitated communication between design departments, business, and engineering. Over time I naturally began leading design projects of all sizes which transitioned into becoming a Director of User Experience.
I have been leading startups and fortune 500 companies through product, SaaS, feature, and hardware launches over the past two decades.
In addition to my career in UX Design and Research, I am also an accomplished installation artist. My work has been displayed in museums around the United States, including the California Academy of Sciences in downtown San Francisco. I’ve been published by online publications NPR.com and the Huffington Post around my passion, the intersection of design and technology. My writing collaboration on using the Adobe Creative Suite for mobile app development was published by McGraw-Hill in 2012 and adopted by secondary schools as curriculum in 2013.
I received my undergraduate degree at Washington State University and my masters at Carnegie Mellon University. I currently work as a Senior UX Manager at AWS.
